The Conconully Trip

Instead of beating a dead horse I'll let Quad's old Okanagon thread died and start my new one. We landed in Conconully Wednesday, but I didn't get to drop a line till Thursday. I keep setting new personal bests on the bass. a couple decent fighters around 1lb+ and today I landed one just a hair under 3lbs on ultra light tackle and a 4'6" rod :P
My new favorite lure.. was a bass fry colored rapala. It's been killing the dinks. I've probably landed 50 or so already this weekend with the boat about 30' from the shoreline and just casting in to the rocks and draggin it out..
but we wanted something bigger... switched to a drop shot with a black plastic worm about 18" up and started nailing some good fighters. Constantly finding 1-2lb fish striking deeper with that drop shot.
I stilldon't like the senkos though. the power bait worms seem to let the fish bite better. the senkos just seem to big and clunky... but maybe my fishjust aren't big enough for them..
I'll probably get pics up tomorrow or tuesday when we get home.
There are soooo many dinks out here... i Know there are more of the bigger guys too, but I need to try some different stuff that drags the bottom in a noisy way. I've heard rumors of 6-7lb fish coming out of these waters. one guy said 8lb... but I don't know about that.
