This Thursday I am prefishing riffe lake for a tourneament coming up and I have never fished it before! I am leaving at O dark thirty and was gonna see if any bassers wanted to tag along for a second set of eyes!
Again I have never fished Riffe so I can't make any promises on getting fish in the boat!
End time is unknown as of right now!

Bruthas gotta work man, but I'd be all over it if I didn't have to feed the family. Hope you find some good water BMD. Tempting for sure.

Working to support your family over dodging a mine field of floating debris in search of 2 lb. smallies? You need to get your priorities in order.
Actually Derek, I really like Riffe Lake in the summertime. That's where I first learned how to fish for smallies. Have fun and good luck!

I was just reading up on these cabins on Mayfield lake and the mentioned that Riffe was the better SMB lake, good luck! I'd join ya but a 3hr drive is too much time on the road away from the newborn right now.
Smallmouth Bass have been planted in Mayfield Lake but have not been as successful as in neighboring Rife Lake. Pound for pound no other fresh water game fish puts up more of a fight than the Smallmouth Bass. Smallmouth Bass roam the lake looking for food. They patrol the rocky flats and humps in the lake. During the colder winter months they go deep and gather in large schools. Finding one means there are others in the area. Plastic worms fished on gig heads and deep diving crack baits are very productive. Smallmouth Bass are sight feeders so adjust your lure color for water clarity.

I would love to backseat with you but tomorrow is right out - I have to pick up my wife's car at the garage and I'm expecting a package of Greek food that's being overnighted from Florida. By noon tomorrow I'll be feasting on the best Greek food in the USA, compliments of my wife and FedEx
