Dez,

I wish you would have been the warden that asked to see my fishing license last year when I was fishing in Umatilla. Maybe I could have gotten away with my Washington license. Just giving you a hard time about your geography.

Jr. locked through and then ran all the way up to the REACH! That's one hell of a run from Umatilla! He ran out of gas running up to (or past) the Vernita bridge during the NWBass tourney, I wonder if he was close to running out today? Can't wait to see how he does tomorrow..hope the wind stays down for him!

Wind is supposed to be laid down today, so he'll have more company up there today, but I read that Mace has a spot he considers his best, another 30 miles upriver, so that's gotta be at least to the vernita bridge. If it's as good as he's saying, and he can get there today, it's going to be interesting to see what weights both of them can bring in today! I don't think Lippincott locked through yesterday either, and he also fished up there on the first day, so good chance he'll be up there today too! Also a good chance the guy from Cali will stumble today, with the water dropping in that lower pool combined with post spawn fish! good luck to all the locals, but still pulling for Jr. to hold the rest of the pack off!

I hear ya Dave , it will be close no dout ! now since Jr has to fuel up at the marina just so he can get back , i wonder how he pays for that on the water ..Im hoping that Dude comes back with atleast a 18lb bag , he knows what he doing up there and sounds like there some really nice fish to be taken .. Gosh man talkn about this gets me excited , just the thought of cashing a check that size , but i give myself a reality check when i think about the 4k entry fee .. GO JR !! :batman:

Ended the day in 3rd place. Neil Russel shot up to 1st, and the kid from Cali is still hanging tough! Kudo's to him, because that's a tough place to cut your teeth the first time on the River, and he's besting some TOUGH competition. Hobbs, Mace and Lippincot are all neck and neck, and barely out of first. It's anybodys ballgame tomorrow, I'm hoping Hobbs can git'r'done!!!!
