Thanks

hey machine, I'll chime in here...I'm a lucky craft pointer FREAK!!!! Dude, I throw a jerkbait a lot, and I absolutely love the Pointer 78 and the 78 DD series. Honestly, I don't throw the bigger stuff as much, but when I do, it's a Staycee 90 for me. As for colors, I don't think you can go wrong with the chartreuse shad, or the Silver with the blue/black (i think it's the aurora shad but can't remember for sure.) just know it does a great job of imitating a salmon smolt! I throw the 78 series on spinning gear with a medium action rod with a really soft tip and 8 lb test McCoy, I find that it's more manageable than flourocarbon in that pound test range, and I work it hard and fast, with 2 or 3 forceful snaps downward, and then a pause. Nine times out of Ten when you get ready to make that next series of jerks, you'll get your hit on the first snap after the pause! I'm also a huge LV500 fan as well when it comes to lipless cranks. for the Staycee and the LV500 it's baitcasting gear with 14lb test Vanish Flourocarbon. These baits are pricey, but they have put fish in the boat for me on every major body of water in Washington I've fished, including Washington, Sammamish, Potholes, Banks, Moses and the Columbia River, just to name a few! My advice is if you can afford them buy them! Hope this helps. Good luck! - Dave

I have a handful of lucky crafts. You all might want to head down to cabelas. They've slashed prices on their lucky crafts. I bought a d9 for less than $6.00 this past Saturday.
I most certainly felt lucky.:albino:

Aurora Black was the color David was searching for. They are all good baits.

I rarely disagree with Desertcreek, but this time I must. The Lucky Krafts are great fish catchers, but their live pointer series is extremely fragile. I have had Brown Trout destroy the lure in just 8 or 10 fish.
But I still buy them little suckers - they do catch fish!:-({|=
