OK the state has or is turning the lake over to the county. Herald a few weeks back said that the county was going to start a $5 a day gate fee. Has that started???? Is it $5 to get in the gate AND $7 to launch???? Thinking I might want to go next week just wondering what kind of "sticker shock" to expect. Thanks for any responses!!!!

AA...he's talking about Goodwin, in Snohomish county, changing stewarts of the park. There have been some changes in the fees and what they will cover (entrance to park and/or launch?). Bottom line...'pay to play' (lol)

for the most part I don't mind too much if there are fees as long as the park is updated and they have a credit card machine! :bom:
Coulon Park charges a lot IMO ($10) but it's a good launch/park, and they have an automated machine for those of us who don't carry cash.
Sammamish needs to update their docks AND their machine.

Honestly if it's $12....................not so much................plenty of other places. I can play with all the skiers other places for ALOT less.

Well stopped by the lake and got some info today. I will pass it along without the tude that mostly seemed everyone had for me asking.
1# NO LONGER IS THE GATE TO LAUNCH unlocked before 7am(stinks)
2# If you are parked in launch lot at 1/2 hr before dusk plan on calling home for a ride as the gate will be locked and no longer do the campsite people have a key.
Bottom line..............The only public access to lake goodwin, which is legal to fish at night per state law now has no access. They are trying to get permission to "allow" us to do what is legal but................ so If any of you are wondering when that will change well.....................drive up and find out..........................
PS They drop the launch price to $5 but................who cares................at least until fall or the parks rules are amended.

No worries Nazz…thanks for checking it out. I’d say if you ‘accidentally’ get locked in the launch area…might as well re-launch and enjoy some legal night fishing! LOL

No argument for that!!!!!!! It apparently has happened to a number of people. County is trying to use their 1 set of park rules fits all mentality. In speaking with the maintenance people who stayed on from the State..............they are pretty bummed at the lack of thought by the county. They expect for it to change but..................would suck to be stuck in the lot during the week (gotta go to work) County is looking at things right now going well the fisherman just need to deal with it..........the camp ground is full look at all the skiers and such we have..................Come Sept. I hope they have the new rules in because if not they will get a rude awakening...........no campers,no skiers and the guys who used to carry the non summer times(fishermen) have moved on to more fish friendly places. Government at it's usual @^%$#%^& up a hot dog status.
