Pierce county bass fishing.

Wondering what is the best places to fish for bass and what to use. Looking for consistent places, havent been able to catch many fish yet. I have a boat as well. Thanx!

Well, your not going to find any lakes that are on fire for bass fishing in Pierce county, but there definitely are lakes with bass in them. American would probably be the best for smallies. Kapowsin, Tanwax, and Ohop are good for largemouth(just to name a few). There's also a lake called Waughap that is in the Steillacom area right next to Pierce college that I hear has some nice largemouth in it, and gets very little pressure. That lake would have to be fished from shore, or from a boat that you could pack in about 100 yards. As far as what to use, that all depends on the conditions, just as it would anywhere. But the go-to baits will usually treat you right(finesse baits when its calm and bright, reaction baits when you have cover). From my experience it takes a bit more work to have a good day of bassin in Pierce county as compared to other places I've fished. But the bass are there. If you dont have any plans this weekend, head over to Riffe, me and a bunch of friends are gonna be bassin there this weekend. PM me if your interested.
