Cottonwood Fluff

I guess I've just not really ever had this problem that I can remember in the past, but is anyone else having problems with the Cottonwood fluff gunking up their line/reel/rod? And if so, how do you deal with it, cuz it's really starting to tick me off.

Just curious if anyone has a quick problem solver out there that I am unaware of. Mine is to try and powercast through it, but that typically causes more problems than it solves, so then I typically pick it off piece by tedious piece, all the while getting blown past areas that I know have fish......

I bought a excellent medication (over the counter )that works great.ALEVERT.It taste minty, chewable and take 1 every 24 hours. The best is no drowsiness.Between cottonwood, maples, and jasmine this stuff works great. Its a lil pricy but I'm not suffering from allergies .Thats worth the price.
By the way it does stick to the line.I dont think there is much you can do about it.maybe while reeling in pinch line between fingers.

Yea, I dont have issues with the spin caster but the bait caster gets all fungeled-up from that stuff. I just dont use my bait caster when this stuff is floating on the water thick.

Sometimes I spray my line with Reel Magic, and it helps a little, but ...................

Try Tums or Rolaids - it doesn't stop the problems, but it reduces the ulcers.:-"
