Hey guys,
I just registered for the site but I have been reading the forums and articles for the last week or two. I have lived in Washington for about 5 years (military) but haven't really gotten to fish up here yet. I went out and got my fishing license, tackle, and all the basics and I'm ready to get going.(I just got out and am staying up here)

Well, I used to fish in Illinois (mainly for blue gill and catfish). I've read a lot of what you guys have said but my only question really is........

WHERE SHOULD I GO TO FISH?!?!?!?!?!?

I live in University Place and I'm looking to start out on bass and trout. I sadly don't have a boat or float tube yet so I'll be off the bank:-({|=

Don't mind to drive a bit to find a good place, just looking for your guys opinions.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Welcome aboard Rouge...I would suggest getting a cup of your favorite beverage, nuzzle up with the laptop and spending some quality time researching WL.com for trout, bass and lake information for your area. There's an awful lot of information here...again welcome!

American Lake, Gravely Lake and Steilacoom Lake are just blocks from each other and a couple miles South of you. American Lake is prety close to you and can be productive its also very popular for recreational use.

first of all, thanks for the welcome guys.

i've done quite a bit of reading on the site, almost all i considered very helpful. i think i might actually have an idea of how to fish out here lol.

you guys have definitely given me a couple good spots it seems. i was going to go to silver lake (pierce) but after reading the reports, i just wanted to get some opinions from you guys on your personal preferences.

thanks much for the tips, thinking about ballinger just because catfish were mentioned lol.

glad to be on the site
