What are some good patterns. I might have a slight chance of foing there tomarrow, so I'm wondering. Should I drop-shot? Throw lipless cranks? T-rig? Should I fish in 20'? should I fish ledges? drop-offs? Any advice will be heeded... I hear people are catching bass out there though, so that's a good sign! How is the boat ramp? Is the ice completely gone? THANXZ! :brilsmurf

Work the known structure, things like stumps and large rocks. The plants aren't going to be offering much protection this time of year, so stick with things that you know are in the 10+ foot depth, and large enough to be used as hidey holes for baitfish and ambush spots for obese bass.

Personally Im a fan of either a slow crankbait or a superslow swimbait with a little extra twitch and a few extra pauses. Don't be afraid to hit the bottom once in a while with it either.

THE DEEPER THE BETTER.
IF YOU CAN FIND DEEP DROP OFFS YOU WILL FIND FISH I WOULD USE A DROP-SHOT RIG 6" OR LESS.
AND LIKE E SAID A SLOW CRANK OR SWIMBAIT SHOULD DO THE TRICK.
ALSO YOU COULD TRY A JIG-N-PIG REAL SLOW PRESENTATON.

GOOD LUCK, TIGHT LINES

Hey Bassmaster, Let us know how you did. I'm anxious for the bass bite to be on! I know it doesn't help you now but there are some pretty good deep points out at Liberty as well. When I say deep I mean 10-15ft range. I have pulled 4 bass off the same exact spot on the same point all in about 5 min. out there before. When there isn't weeds for them to relate to they stack up on other structure. So for future trips look for those as well.

Had one huge bass follow a baby bass lipless crankbait, other than that, nothin. Tried jigs, drop-shotting, lipless crankbaits, and soft craws withouth any hits at all. In the reports, i gavi the day a 1 because it was raining, and it was cold. What a day... look for my report in the report section...
