black dog lunker punker

i stumbled across this looking for gear online today. they are pretty big baits but big bait big fish right? anyway alot cheaper than normal but they have paint problems/blemishes heres the link. hope it helps someone.

i concur - big baits for big fish. they work well on hybrid carp!
other than that i dont throw them

ymmv but all the blem punkers ive bought have looked perfectly fine.

I use them ALL the time. They are great, but heavy. If you have the gear, GET ONE!!!!!

The Black Dog Baits website had previously offered the "blemished" Lunker Punkers this summer at a similar price. According to the website, the "blemishes" just consisted of brush marks or light scratches/lines in the paint under the clear coat. The "blemishes" didn't meet Black Dog Baits' acceptance criteria and from a practical point they would only be a concern if you were buying them as a collectible. I couldn't make out the marks/scratches/lines on the photos that had been posted on the Black Dog Baits website so I bought one in each size and found that the "blemish" is visible if you know what you are looking for. From a fishing standpoint these "blemishes" are not an issue.
