I just got approve for $15,000 for a used bass. I've got 1 really nice boat in mind. But, im trying to hold out a bit longer so i can see what else pops up for sale...

Anyone know of any good deals? Boat must be an 00' and up "so no old junky will be considered. 17' minimum with a 90+hp outboard,. but 150hp perferred though....

lmk what yall have seen around...This will be my 1st bass boat and im really excited for next year,

I Copied and pasted this .. killer deal ...

I have a friend of mine that has had some medical issues come up and needs to sell his nitro badly. It is a 2002 NX882 with a 175 Merc EFI. It has dual consoles and has low hours. It is in great shape and priced well below blue book. He is wanting $8000.00 for it. You can find the add on Craigslist. It is located in Buckley and I believe the add says $9000, but I just got a call this morning saying he will take $8000 for it. It is a great boat with a great price! Check it out. Thanks.

I GIVE MY PERSONAL THUMPS UP OF APPROVAL FOR A GOOD BASS BOAT !!

You got until next spring, no hurries.....
Check craigslist for here and down south in Oregon....Would be worth driving down there to pick up a boat if the price was right.

I was in a similar situation a couple years back with a smaller budget. I ended up buying a newer aluminum boat, if I had to do it again, I'd buy an 18' fiberglass.

right now i perfer an aluminum since it would be my 1st bass boat. But i'm eyeing a few glass boats right now. 18' is perfect for my style of fishing since i usually roll alone. So anything bigger would be overkill. I'm not exactly sure what ill buy. But one thing i know is that it will be a very nice boat.

Do some research on what you should be looking for in a used boat. Don't believe every thing you read, or hear. If people are telling you a boat is a good deal, how would they know? The transom could be rotting out for all they know. Do your homework and don't buy the first boat that jumps out at you. I would go for a fiberglass with a 150 or larger if its in good condition.

"Guys,

As much as it pains me, I need to sell my boat. This is a 2004 dual console 200 SP with a 200 hp Mercury Optimas. In addition to the standard options, this boat has hot foot throttle, turn signal trim switch. Also has a 3 bank battery charger and keel protector. The boat does not include electronics, but it is already plumbed to accept Lowrance graphs, to include pre-installed power cables. It doesn have an in dash Zercom electronic flasher. It also has a NMEA network backbone with a gps module antennae at the stern, and a spare antennae at the bow. Nixon's marine is selling the same boat without the Optimax and with lower end electronics for $19,995.00. My asking price is $18,500.00

It's a great boat! I'd appreciate if you could pass it on to yourclub members or anyone else looking to purchase.

thanks much!
John McHenry"

This was sent around in an email this morning....

The reason i can stand behind my statement is because that nitro belongs to a angler that D.J knows personaly and fished with .. he shoped that boat with me before putting it on site .. the guy that owns it just caught some bad luck and has to unload a good boat .. But i do agree that it's best that a person explores the options before making a purchase of this size , but if i give anything two thumps up that means i do have a inside lead and im willing to put my cred on line by saying that ..

I too was boat shopping a year ago and was looking at a used boat because it was all I could afford to get a fiberglass and big motor. I was happy when I got my new smaller bass boat/motor because I got all the warranties I could get. Warranties are important when money is tight! Not to mention the good fuel consumption in a smaller motor!
