DISCLAIMER:
- please note this is not a tourney of any kind, just an opportunity for washington state bass anglers to share their fishing experiences
DO YOU REIGN SUPREME?
iWLHBC:
- a statistical / report based system where anglers can submit reports of quality catches. exposure to clubs, it will give novice anglers an opportunity to broaden their horizon. mandatory required gear will reduce the submission of falsified reports. standardized and streamlined reports allow anglers and readers to see who is catching what and where.
LINKS:
- clubs
- gear
GOALS:
- most often than not, an angler's goal is to surpass past achievements. based on previous successes or failures, 2009 is an opportunity to see how you compare to anglers throughout the state.
LOCATION:
- open to all anglers who fish washington state on a regular basis
LAKES:
- open to all bodies of water within washington state
CATCHES:
- all catches must be validated with a quality picture. a 2nd quality picture must have the fish being weighed, with the digital scale read out in clear view. absolutely no exceptions.
REPORTS:
- based on cali equivalent a good starting point for reports would be 5lbs. an angler can submit a lake report, or a secret lake report, how ever they see fit. the number of stars will reflect the quality of fish caught. one report for every quality catch. therefore if you catch 2 quality fish in a single trip, please submit 2 reports.
STARS:
- +5lbs =
- +6lbs =
- +7lbs =
- so with that in mind, in 2009 and on, anglers and readers can skim through the reports and quickly pick out which ones to read. with the acceptance of required gear and quality photo representation, a precedence will be set and will show new members of what a bass report should hopefully look like.
STATISTICS:
- given your previous catches, an angler can quickly derive what their goals for the upcoming year should be. each angler will be given a location [nvs] followed by 2 numbers.
EXAMPLE:
- N.##.##
- the n signifies the location of the angler. the 1st set of numbers reflects the number of stars earned throughout the year. the 2nd set of numbers will put a twist into everything, it reflects how many lakes you have caught 2 quality fish from. after all, everyone has their favorite lake, and anyone can get lucky. adding stats to the 2nd set of numbers maybe difficult for some, but its an opportunity for anglers to step away from their favorite bodies of water.
EXAMPLE:
- N.10.05
- based on the above example, you can see that the angler is from the north. they have earned 10 stars, and have caught 2 or more quality fish in 5 bodies of water.
- place your stats in the location section of your profile. from here, anyone on the forums can follow the progression of other anglers.
UPDATES:
- a group list of stats will be furnish, and be complied every month. standardized reports and required gear have been implemented in order to streamline things. any deviantion from the above mentioned items is cause for a report to be thrown out. once the chat room is fully functional - we can chit chat about everyone on a monthly basis.
TEAM:
- with almost all sports, they often can be played 3on3 - take nba jam for example. most anglers have a group of friends they usually fish with. to further throw a twist into things please come up with a team of 3 persons. an angler can only be on 1 team. we will see how we can throw this into the mix for fish-ins and what not. more info will follow.
FISH-IN:
- again this is not a tourney of any kind, but more of an opportunity to see how others fish and learn other techniques. this will give non boaters an opportunity to pick up back seats. dates for fish-ins are still to be determined.
NOTES:
... i know you will ask why. simple, there aint no hbc for small jaws [snap snap snap].
i will be adding a removing information as we iron things out
