Hey Trav, I've got some free time this week I think, could shoot up to Snoho to do some fishing with you. Have any sweet spots lined up?

I'm thinkin either Cassidy, Blackmans, or Sunday (great reports from way in the past but if those bass are still present, it will be a helluva time!)

Travis, I'm heading over to Serene in Everett on Wednesday. I will be in my boat, but my other friend is gonna be in a float tube.

congrats on your purchase by the way. Now you can really get out on Hilton to catch some bass!

I would NOT suggest going to Stevens. Nothing has been bitting there recently..... Blackmans, Flowing, Cassidy all are WAY better. right now. The little lake Cassidy just up the road from Stevens is perfect for tubes and I've seen some nice bass C&R there.

The boat launch at Cassidy is VERY primitive. If you've got a big boat, you'll need 4WD.

Cassidy is one of my favorite lakes in this area for several reasons:

1. Largemouth bass fishing is pretty good, even though bigguns are scarce.

2. It is a beautiful lake & the shoreline isn't packed with houses & docks (too swampy).

3. NO ski boats or jet skis!!!

4. Algae is minimal, so you can bounce lures off the bottom without having to constantly remove blobs of green goo.

The biggest down-side @ Cassidy is the permanently stained water. It looks like very strong tea. You've pretty much got to put your lure within 18 inches of a fish or they won't see it.

Storm Lake is another good option. It is deeper than Cassidy, but has LOTS of snags along the shoreline (mostly fallen timber). Weedless plastics are definitely the way to go if you're fishing for bass.

I caught a shload of trout @ Storm a few months ago using homemade jigs. Unfortunately, I also lost at least 50 jigs in the snags. Seriously. #-o
