Too big for crappie..maybe big enough for bass?

My dad ordered these little spinners for crappie..the problem is they are to big for any crappie on the westside.
There about 2.5inches. Does anyone think they will work for bass? Smallies or Largemouths? I can add those little 3 inch trout power worms as a trailer to so that might help...

While at Lake Tanwax a couple years ago I was casting something similar to what you have pictured. I was casting for bass and caught crappie.
Since you said it was 2.5 inches I got the one we used and measured it. Mine is 2". It caught crappie.

Looks like they'd work for crappie to me I've used a jig like that without the flasher. I've caught Perch on something that looks very similar to that too. I have caught a small bass on a jig a little bigger than that instead of having the squid tube like body though it had a beetle. I've got Crappie on the red/white one without the flasher, perch on the green with the flasher, and small mouth with orange. Wasn't a big small mouth though only 11 inches.

I've been using the mini strike kings - which are about the same size. And catching bass of all sizes (both small and large mouth) with em..

Those are not to big for Crappie. Believe me they will attack those lures if that is the right presentation for day. I have had a crank bait on and had Crappie attack, just depends. If anything you will catch bigger Crappies...

Yep, I'd use em -- they ain't too big.
One of my favorite crappie lures is a #1 Mepps Aglia Long, which the same length as those jigs.

I caught crappie yesterday on 4'' senko. Those are not too big for crappie believe me!! But best bet is white, white/yellow, white/red, and yellow/red jigs w/o spinner.
JT26, did you have any luck at Mardon Resort/Potholes? I see your avatar is taken from main dock there.

Im sure if i fish a lake with really aggresive crappie they would hit those. Its just that in Blueberry Lake and Lake Cassidy, i've never even had a hit until i switched to these little micro jigs. They were like 1/32 or 1/64 oz. I think they may work around the docks on Beaver and Phantom for bass...
And delyak guy, i had a great time at Potholes. I wrote a whole long report, but accidently closed the browser before it closed. I haven't got to doing it again..Anyways, i caught alot of smallies. The problem was they were all little i guys. I caught maybe 35 smallies over the 3 or 4 days, with only 7 over a pound. Biggest one when just under 3. The dock at mardon was much better than anywhere i tried from boat. I only caught 2 nice ones of boat, one way down from mardon on the dam, and another at the island. I did best throwing a perch pattern crank at the dam. I tried senko's the most but had almost no luck, just a few. Once i switched to cranks it got much better. Also caught some bluegills.

I'm not a Crappie King, but I agree with TopDawg. Those should catch plenty of crappie, if you know where they hang out.

I have used those exact same jigs w/o the blade and caught tons of Crappie! it just depends on the size of the crapppie you are catching i guess... but those look awesome to me!

Ive caught 12" crappie on 4" crankbaits and 5" worms. The Thumb has hooked up many crappie and smallmouth on that exact lure.
