Wacky Jigging?

Have you guys ever wacky-rigged finesse plastics using a small (1/16oz) jig head instead of a bare hook? I recently read an article that said "wacky jigging" is a very effective technique. They never said if they were vertical-jigging or casting...

I saw a video on Youtube earlier today showing this exact same thing. Looked pretty odd to me. But if the bass dig it, who am I to complain.

think I would feel better drop-shotting a wacky style rig myself. Seem that if you were bouncing off the bottom it would kill the action of your plastic, I mean while you are letting it sink back to bottom it really isn't getting to wiggle the way wacky was meant to, ya know. Where as on a drop shot the wacky is in full effect the whole time it was in the water. JMO

Dang. The plastic surgeon said it wouldn't be so obvious after the surgery!

I read an article in Bassmaster about the Flick- shake. This sounds similar. I'd assume it is fished the same as a regular wacky rig, just the lure tumbles and vibrates or shakes more than a regular wacky rig. Doesn't hurt to try right?

Definitely never hurts to try. I've caught bass on some of these creature baits that look like something out of a horror movie. Nothing in real life looks like some of these creature baits, yet the bass love 'em. That's good enough for me hehe

looks like this style of fishing would be perfect for a person suffering from parkinson's disease.

It gives us all something to look forward to in our old age. Well, that and sponge baths.
