I will be at Silver lake for four days after the tourney there this Saturday. Does anyone have any advice on where the crappies are on the lake and some good spots for the bass. I will be staying at the motel and resort. I have been to this lake twice with not much luck so any advice will be helpful and appreciated.
Maybe Silverlake boy has some advice for me? I will mainly be fishing for bass but would love to find a good crappie hole when I have my kids out with me.

Fish tight to the over hangs all around the lake there is about 2-3ft. of weed free water just off the over hangs. Fish this lake the same as you would fish your fav lake. Crappie will be in the holes and deeper areas.

hey bassmaster ive fished that lake a couple times this year and ive found that the island is good in the morning and evening green crankbaits, black spinner baits and 3inch senkos blue or black. Another place is a ditch that is located passed the silver lake resort head for the pilings that are lined up there a line of no wake bouys in front of of the pilings count 3 bouys from the motel enter slow head for the pilings that are all lined up youll see two milk jugs to the left got in between them and head for the pad field drive away from the pilings with the pads on right you will see an opening in the pads there is a log on the right at the entrance throw green shallow diving cranks slow retrieve . also pitch black or blue senkos at the edge of the celery grass and stucture to the right of the ditch green sweetbeavers t rigged also work well here to sloooow presentation most strikes on the drop . when i fished the lake 4th of july weekend a guy caught a nice crappie right under the dock at the resort.theres also good crappie fishing straight across from the resort in line with the bouys i mentioned earlier stay to the left of bouys youll see the tree lined shore at the end work the shoreline lots of laydowns right under the water pay attention to your sonar the water is real muddy. have fun c and r
