I need to get my butt down there ASAP. I've never been and always hear great things. And I'm still trying for my first LMB of the year:-({|= Maybe I'll have better luck here.

If you are looking for your first LMB of the year KevinB, I'm not so sure Silver is the place to get it. It can be good, but you have to WORK. Is it WA's best largemouth lake, NO WAY, but it has its big fish if you know how to fish and work for them. Good luck, looking forward to reading a report.

Thanks Chris:salut:
I may try again later today at a local lake. I'll be on Riffe and Mayfield in a few weeks. I think I'll try to make a pit stop into Silver. I've got to get my bass skills down though.

Been down there 3 times now this month and the fishing has been tough... but this past wknd I finally caught one, so it is getting better. Was fishing with a club and out of about 18 people I would say there were 10 bass or so caught w/ the biggest being 4#. If you do go look for the warmest water and go flipping - don't think it matter so much what you use but you have to get it right in front of their face!

i was down at silver yesterday, we had three people on the boat and only boated 3 all day. the channels are very cold right now, almost three degrees cooler than the main lake.
