Northwest Fishing Reports

I saw two 5 pounders in there last year and was wondering if anyone fishes or has heard of these bass ponds...they're kind of secluded and there is a small trail to get into the lake from the road...

??? I was just looking for some information...does anyone have any they'd be willing to share either here or in a PM? These ponds do hold some big bass.

Nevermind, I just read the title of this thread. Sorry.
I have not fished it because if I have the time, I spend it on Cottage. I have heard about it from a friend and there is a couple of big fish but not the quality that Cottage can offer. It is shallow and not worth the time if your looking for a quality bass bite.
But give it a try, you might run into a couple of bass.

Yeah, sounds good enough...I'll pass it up for some other better ponds/lakes that have been offered up...thanks fishnislife.

Bassett Pond brings back some memories.
I grew up in the area and fished that pond a bunch times in the late 70's and early 80's. My younger brother and I were just kids back then and the pond was on private property. We used to sneak in anyways with a friend. Back then we caught brown bullhead and crappie in it. The first year we fished it my brother broke off a brown bullhead as long as his leg. I swear that thing was 6 pounds. I caught a 13 inch crappie one week and the next week Scott caught one that measured at 15.5 inches. It was so sick. Then the pond seemed to get infested with brown bullheads tons and tons of 7 inchers.
Years later some friends of mine told me they had caught some really big bass in it before some crazy idiot stole some dynamite and started throwing it in the pond. This is what they told me I couldn't swear by it.
I went back in 1997 and fished it and it has changed a lot. The field is no longer mowed so access was tougher. The bridge that used to go over the narrow portion of the pond had fallen down. We caught some small bass but that was it.
I think if you had the ambition to carry a small johnboat in there you would have a better shot at catching the big ones. When I went there last it was hard to fish from shore.

Thanks Eric for that great "story" or description. I, too, lived in Woodinville for 10 years and have been to this pond. I've just seen some lunker bass lurking around about 7 years ago.

Imagine the trouble you'd get in these days if you stole dynamite and then started throwing it in ponds....
