Mojo Rigs

I recently came across a light line bass fishing technique called a mojo rig. I have never heard of it or even tried it before today. The source I heard it from didn't describe it too well so I'm unclear on what it is. Anyone have experience and does it work up here?

Heres a little on the mojo rig. Its basically a carolina rig with a different style sinker (or at least that's how I use it). I had a bunch of drop shot weights with out the clip and thats how I got into the mojo. To see this web page better along with a few other "rigs" go to baits.com. Its Yamamoto's web page. Click on the catalog and at the very bottom of the 26 pages its got some cool info.

Looks like a Carolina rig with a Mojo® brand weight.

I use to use that rig. The difference to a c-rig is that it doesn't really have a leader line tied to a swivel, it's just a weight pegged on your line. Being that it's peg it doesn't move like the c-rig barrel weight. We used more in the south and midwest in stained and shallow waters.

The "shakin' rig" looks interesting. It would be even louder if you used glass-n-brass. (glass bead + brass weight)

like stated above it's pretty much a C-rig with a mojo sinker. supposed to resist weeds and snags better.

I guess I've been using that for a few years as a modified splitshot rig, but more weedless. Thanks for the pix, Daniel. Thanx for all the inputs.

I use it a lot with a 4 1/2" lizard. It does resist snags a little better than a big carolina weight, but you don't get the noise that comes with using the big brass or tungsten sinker and glass bead.
