Recruiting to a local South Sound bass club

So, I am putting this up here for two reasons, one is trying to get some more people involved, that may be interested, in tournament fishing for bass, and the second is, yeah, trying to build membership some in the club I belong to, as I think it is important to the strength of our club.
I belong to Lakewood Master Basser's, " http://www.lakewoodmasterbassers.com/home" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; " , and have so, now, going into my third year. Before that I bass fished but never thought the sound of tournaments was all that appealing, plus, I was a little afraid that I wouldn't stack up and be an embarrassment. Once I joined I found none of this was true and I was, in a sense, cheating myself for not joining sooner than I did. I found that I love the tournaments, pure adrenalin, and love shooting the bull with the guys at club meetings. I love everything about it. Plus, I've made many friends and have learned a lot more about bass fishing.
Now, we are an electric only club but gas motors are allowed on the boats but cannot be used at anytime during a tournament (there are exceptions for emergency's or boats being broke down that need to be towed). After the tournament, you may load your boat under power from the gas motor. With this, a lot of us do have gas motors on our boats and some boats are, purely, electric.
We have members from the local area and we all share the common thread of loving and promoting our sport. We have a good list of sponsors. Some of these sponsor's have been backing us for a few years now like Culprit lures, http://culprit.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, Trigger Happy Comfort grips, http://www.triggerhappycomfortgrips.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, Ego Nets, http://www.egos2slider.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and Rat-L-Trap, http://www.rat-l-trap.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, to name a few.
We also some have newer sponsor's that we are excited for like Fisher Brothers, https://www.facebook.com/FisherBrothersBaitCo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, Rednex custom jigs, http://www.rednexcustomjigs.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, High Rock Molds, http://www.highrockmolds.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, Ultra Molds, http://ultramolds.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and Trident Custom Baits, http://www.tridentcustombaits.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and more.
We have sponsor's, as well, that have been here since the beginning of LMB and kind of just feel like partners like 253 Custom Tee's, http://253customtees.weebly.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, and Aquarium Paradise, https://www.facebook.com/AquariumParadise253?ref=ts" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
You can check out all our sponsor's at: http://www.lakewoodmasterbassers.com/sponsors" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Having this relationship with our sponsor's is important to us at the club. They send us stuff to try or give to the members and we try to promote their products.
We fish 7 tournaments a year. We vote on lakes and dates, usually at the November meeting, so every member who makes the meeting has input. We start in two weeks with our first tournament at Long Lake in Thurston County. We will then fish April, May, June, August, September and October. You can check our schedule out here http://www.lakewoodmasterbassers.com/tournaments" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Our meetings are at Bass Pro in Tacoma on the first Thursday of every month. We have a good situation there and can get the banquet room if it is available. Our meetings are from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. and anyone is welcome to come check us out and see what we are about.
Not only do we welcome non-members to our meetings but we put on demo's, on occasion. Often the members themselves, if they wish, will put on a demo but sometimes we get bigger names. In February Ron Hobb's gave a demo on winter fishing for smallmouth, and, he actually asked if he could come back and give another demo on jig fishing for largemouth and tying jigs. There are some other names on the list of well known, local fishermen who may be giving presentations, as well. That will be posted on our website if and when the time comes,
Remember, everyone is welcome at our meetings so it may be fun to try to get to Bass Pro when we have a demo put on by a big name like Ron Hobb's!
Come check us out, or if interested in joining before the first tournament you can get ahold of me through a pm or email TheLMBClub@Gmail.com
