Hey, Guys and Gals: Well, I've decided to give Smallies one more try before putting the bass gear away for the season. I'd appreciate any suggestions for lures/jigs/tubes/worms and presentation for cold weather, small water, Smallmouth. Thanks for any input!

dropshot, carolina rig, jigs, crankbaits, plastic worms/lizards, tubes.

SLOW SLOW SLOW - usually.

drag slowly. sit and wait. slow drag, sit and wait.

slow cranking a crankbait/jerkbait, LONG pauses. suspending bait is best.

use scent if you want.

one or two fish a day, depending on the lake, and be happy.

watch the clouds and dream while waiting for a bite.

Now it's 10am and I have to go fishing.

Good suggestions by AMX. Besides the drop shot, I like to use a football head jig with a double tail hula grub on it or a tube on a heavy tube head. I am typically using 1/2oz - 3/4oz jig heads or weights for those three presentations. I am typically fishing deeper water for winter smallies and that increased weight helps get the bait down into the strike zone.
