Juanita Bay/Forbes Creek fishing
Has anyone ever bass fished in Juanita Bay, near the Forbes Creek park? There's alot of vegetation and submerged pilings between the park (proper) and the Forbes Creek "boardwalk". I live near the park, but never see any boats fishing in the area.
Thanks,
Patrick
Thanks,
Patrick

I am pretty sure you can't fish from within the park at Forbes Creek, but I am sure it's OK from the water.fishingmachine wrote:I know part of juanita bay is a bird sanctuary if i remember correctly that is closed to boats and fishing

I've been in Juanita Bay park today with my kid and saw big basses around the water vegetation very close to wooden boardwalk. Also I've seen carps from the other viewing spot. Also pretty big fish jumped out of the water feeding in vegetation. I wonder if fishing allowed in Juanita Bay park? I did not see any anglers there, is there any spots or good water access? Who fished there?

The water around Juanita bay park's boardwalk is very shallow (MAYBE 5' at the deepest) and there is no real place to fish from shore there.sbalabanov wrote:I've been in Juanita Bay park today with my kid and saw big basses around the water vegetation very close to wooden boardwalk. Plus, on a nice day, add the droves of people... I think you would have to be on a boat and fish very early to avoid the traffic once the partiers arrive.

I do not have a boat. Is there a place outside of boarwalk? The shoreline is pretty big...downtown98033 wrote: and there is no real place to fish from shore there.

Know the rules guys! As previously stated the extreme eastern shoreline extening out a long ways "to the buoys" is considered a bird sanctuary, and is off limits to boats! You will get a ticket if you're found back in there!
