Been a little slow but then again im not very good at it [lol] Had a great nite on the lake today though, launched at 7 pm, had a dink immediately. Josh nailed a 3.2 LMB a few minutes later and followed it with a monster that broke him off at the boat. We had a few other dinks and gave up at dark.

Been slower then it has been the last couple of years at this time. Water temps are down a bit and so is fishing for several of us over here. It should be picking up with this warming trend we are having. I was looking at reports from last year and I was doing very well at thid time.

Its been pretty consistant all year. Topwater bite has been on for me lately with numbers of 2-3lb fish. Its all about finding the lakes that have the fish on the feed the time you go. Lake washington has been heating up as well compared to a month ago.

to the far north, Whatcom county- finding both largemouth and smallmouth in different stages, from
pre-spawn to spawn and cruising shallows. I was surprised to see the numbers of late spawning bass,
finding bass in all zones, shallow zone being most productive for me- I love sight fishing for cruising
bass.
Cast first, worry later.

Well I asked you guys because the bite had been far and inbetween. This past weekend the bite had pick up a bit. Less fry in the ponds I fish makes me happy just knowing the bite is on the brink of busting loose. When you here BOOYHA! across the lake the pigone has come to see me. Keep them comeing guys.

I got a nice one on a topwater thisevening, big explosion. I've been getting dinks outta my secret spot, and everyonce in a while I get a giant one. Got a four pounder a while back on my way home from Quads place. It was sweet. But it hasn't started to get good for me until the last couple weeks. Of course I've been putting my time in elswhere looking for other species.

The LMB bite has been wonderful for me this year , now that i think about it this year has been the best for largies compared to the prior 3-4 years on the western lakes, IMO .
Due too the low wheather temps all year all of the different stages have been extended .The prespawn ,spawn , & postspawn all have gone on the longest iv ever seen before , I bet ya a buck that i can still go out to the lake today and find a bass on a bed ..lol
The cool thing about all of this is that the LMB have been easy pickens for some , i actually got a limit of LMB on lk wash last time out ..My advise is to get out there and start chunking baits the bite is there for sure !!:batman:

That'd be fun. I'm not able to go to a lake that far away yet, next year. I'm busy maintaining vehicles and buying more fishing gear and fixing household stuff. And rods and crankbaits fer sure. :)

I agree dez. I cant remember the last time ive had a year this succesful for largies throughout the year. Ive been able to go to a bunch of different lakes and been able to dial in the lake and be pretty consistant. Ive loved trying new bodies of water this year. Still looking for the new pb's though this year

Eh, not the best year, but definitely not the worst. Actually been pretty consistent using soft plastics. Best setup is probably either shakey head or drop shot. SLOW SLOW SLOW has been the key, almost dead sticking at some points. Tight lines!
