When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Anyone here use Gamma line? I've been using 8 pound Gamma on a couple rods and I've been nailing the smallies. I think ChrisB might know something about it?

All my finess applications are used with Sugoi. Low line memory and it is not as wiry as other flouros that I tested. On my low weight flippin/ pitchin GLX I have been using Gamma 14lb and have been pleased with it.

I have used Mono, Flouro and braid. The braid is very different than Mono and Flouro. You can feel the hits very well with braid but when T-riged the bite is not like Mono or Flourocarbin. :thumright So for T-riged fishing go with 20-25# test in Vanish. If useing a Jig try Braid. When useing crank baits I like 10# but it's not good for big bass I have lost many big fish with 10# test. So now I use 17# for cranks they don't go as deep as they should. And the fish don't snap your line. We have all lost money on deep structure thats a giveme. For good hook sets try a Fast action rod 6'.6" or 7'. The longer your rod the better your casting will be for the money spots. GOOD LUCK!!
Are you hung up again!

Sorry for the late reply. Gamma line is great in my opinion. I started using it last year. Thing that bums me out is I heard Sportco isn't carrying it anymore. I haven't tryed Gamma Flouro. I did buy a spool of Gamma in the moss green color, I don't like it that much. Reason being if the water is off colored the green is less likely to spook fish, but for me I had a terrible time seeing the line, so I go Clear all the way.iPodrodder wrote:Anyone here use Gamma line? I like 8 lb for smallies, 10 for basic spinning rod, and I use anything up to 20 for other applications.
