Lake Washington this Saturday

I bought both, but yes was using the Crawfish. Those must be some good binoculars you have lol j/k

Fishinislife and I went out at 10:00. Got two bites between the two of us and got blanked. Used football heads, dropshots, c-rigs and swimbait. Bites are few and far. Fished from 25' to 60'. It was still nice to get out, wished we could get a few fish.

Nice fish ChrisB. Way to pull that guy out of the cold water. I compliment you guys who can go out at this time of year and consistantly catch fish. kzoo and I had a great time on the water with a such a nice day, but we couldn't manange to boat a bass. Two short bites and that's all the action we got. Thanks for having me out kzoo. Your a cool cat. And thanks to WL.com for being the source of another new friend.

Well get 'em next time Fishinislife! I'm glad you had a good time.

I went out again today with my Steelhead buddy, Steelhead didn't pan out on the Sky so I convinced him to go bass fishing. We were on the water by noon. Similar story at first, slow! Then we got a couple bites, I got my first smallie of the year around 2.5 and my buddy got a kokanee! Couldn't believe the Kokanee. Both on a dropshot at 50 to 60'. I'll post a photo on the report section.

Chris I think I saw you when you left that spot. I also think i saw kzoo going north to 90 but not sure. We fished all over and boated one. 45-65 feet. I went out today and caught the biggest (I think) scuplin I have ever seen in my life. It was as big as my hand. Marked a lot of fish today at 65-70 but only got the one freak fish. Gonna hit it tomorrow with rfatt16 looks like it will be less windy and even a little more warm.

When is the best time of year for bassin in shallow water (15-35ft) on Lake Washington? I'm looking to get into this, perhaps, once the cutthroat fishing dies off.

on lake Washington its May but they are it 1 foot - 10 feet and deeper as well. And make sure you catch and release since that's spawn time.

It looks as though the best weather will be Monday. I am ready to get my first fish of the year........Trout don't count do they dez??????????

I'd never eat a bass...always C&R with the bass. So they're shallower then...on the beds in May? Sounds like a fun fishery for sure.

Yep. From late March on thru the fall, fishing is good for them...Smallies are a different game then largies however, usually smaller but much better fighters...
