Being new to bass fishing I would love everyone's comments on best times of the day to fish during the fall bite.

When the sun is at its highest and shining bright. That will put all the bait/forage fish near the surface and the bass will be biting on top water lures. Anyone seeing any lakes turn over yet or still a bit early for that ? I need to get back on the water soon.

All I know that after the BIG wind and rain the other day/week ago, Lake Sawyer has acually cleared up! Some stuff floating here and there, but the water isn't murky like it has been the past couple years. I should go to Meridian soon, there is a couple big fish there that keep getting off, same exact spot, but the first one was a smallmouth about 4 lbs in May, as I saw it go under the boat, and the second one was a smaller largemouth, in July.

If you want to catch a giant largemouth, head out during an extreme low pressure front. The more wind and rain, the better (as long as it is safe). This is one of your best opportunities of the year to catch a trophy.
