This place can be horribly tough, esp they are prob on the verge of spawning. I go here a good amount(not as much a Clear Lake) Plenty of decent fish, but the weeds can deter a lot of people. Dont forget to hit Clear lake just north of it.

As far as tactics on Beav, spinnerbaits can be good as well as swimbaits(larger ones 8" plus) on the few pad bucnes that are isolated. The reeds generally dont produce the quality fish, although they are there. Wake baits are always good there depending on the weather. There really isnt any specific areas to hit cuz its basically all the same, pads, reeds, yadda yadda. Tons of perch on the south west corner aboot 50ft out, as well as the north west corner. Good luck out there!!

I was there today, saw one female on a bed, looked like she was spawning. Other than that nothing happened. Im thinkin right now they are spawning kinda making it tough to catch anything. One problem with the lake is you cant really target any specific areas. That right there can make it tough to find the biters.
