RE:Favorite Jig
I tend to mold and tie my own. If I am using a rubber skirt or tail, then I use whatever I already have.fishingmachine wrote:Whats your favorite jig brand? And color?
I guess this is not much help, sorry, but jigs to me are just about the simplist tool there is, and I don't go by name brand too much.
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
RE:Favorite Jig
That's too general of a question. What species, time of year, body of water, etc. all makes a difference. I like tube jigs for the fact that you are presenting a bait that envelopes the weight, I feel you get an extra split second to detect the strike and set the hook. Brands don't make too much difference to me, my goto colors are pumpkin, perch and chartreuse. You can juice them up with your favorite scent and I've caught just about everything on them, including salmon!

Good looking jigs! I keep it simple..no particular brand, usually 1/4 or 3/8 ounce. Black/blue, pumpkin, or brown. The pumpkin has been my #1 so far this season. I always use a trailer of some kind

BOOYAH, Strike King are my fav. With trailors,Green Pumpkin by far the best. Match the trailors with the jigs colors for best results. The pic's look great!! Some good looking jigs.

They are allmy favorite so far ... laughs as I have yet to hook into a bass with a jig and I am still learning and working that technique. Great information on colors and types everyone ... I know it will help me out!
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

I must have complimented or embellished. You are the only one who understands me, I suffer for my jigs.

RE:Favorite Jig
Dilbert makes very nice looking jigs. Almost a shame to use his as they are pretty enough to just gaze at.
