Cold Water Swimbait Success

Post by ICSpots » Sat Feb 21, 2009 4:22 pm

Check out this report from NJ. A little encouragement for all of us to get out after largemouth. Hopefully the NJ sense of fashion isn't a key for success.

38 degrees? Man o man, that is some cold water. And yes, that does add a little encouragement. Thanks.
I was out for 4 hours today tossing heavy jigs looking for hard bottom and structure and then slow rolling a Hudd past any inconsistencies and breaks. Fished between 10-22 ft out of the float tube for nothing. But got to make love to a lot of bottom and know the lake that much more. I'm still looking for that first Largemouth this year.
Didn't get a reading of water temp. but I know it was warmer than 38. :cyclopsan
