What's your favorite set-up?

Post by bassackwards » Sat Jun 23, 2007 6:41 pm

If you had to pick only ONE rod/reel combo RIGHT NOW (that you currently own), which one do you reach for?

I know we all have several combos with various line, gear ratio, rod length, etc. But we all have that favorite...what's yours

My "go to set-up"...

Berkley 6' 6" Lightning rod MH
Pinnacle Solene baitcasting reel / 6.2:1 gear ratio
Stren Extra Strength 17# line

I forgot about them smallie...

I've got a 7' Berkley Lightning Rod (spinning) M with a cheapy spin reel w/ 12# Stren line

right now it would have to be...

Rod: Shimono Clarus med baitcaster
Reel: Pflueger Trion
Line: 8lb McCoy

this is soon to be replaced by a Don's custom dropshot rod (Rogue blank) with a Pflueger Supreme spinning reel =p~
