What's the word on Lake WA smallies?

Post by A9 » Wed Jun 11, 2008 9:09 pm

I'm trying to get out Friday and to chase some bronzebacks, but haven't been out all year, let alone been in the state. What's the deal with em? Post spawn I'm assuming or is this wacky weather still messing things up?

Can't imagine much has changed. Last time I fished Lake Wa on a boat for bass it was right before the spawn and I nailed a few nice ones (Largemouth) in a different part of the lake (kevinb PM me if you want that spot) and went over to the arboretum, and couldn't find anything. Bass tourney was going on that day so the smallie spots were pretty full with boats already...

I haven't been on LW for five weeks, I've been working on my house and getting ready to move to the east side. What I've read on other sites, sounds like the smallies are on the post spawn. Probably best luck right now is skipping docks.

Sam , wazzz up dude .. Okay most of the bass all off there beds and they are "Feeding" .. Focus most of your time in 10-15 ft of water around chunk rocks . As Kzoo mentioned the docks are good right now as well but your wanting to look for the deeper docks to hold more fish . As for baits Crank it up (BLUEGILL COLOR)/ get jiggy with it (SUMMER CRAW)/Drop it like like its hot (Golby, roboworm, lizard )...and for please do us all a favor TAKE PICS BRO .. lol have fun and we will look for th reportcard ....BBD :king:

I'll be trying to get out Friday or Saturday evening for them. I'll bring pictures. I'm planning on hitting the shore up at my fav. spot, some of you will recognize it......I just busted my wrist up pretty badly on the basketball court, sprained or broken I'm not sure which yet, hope it doesn't keep my from doing some fishing!:bounce:
