Recent weather change

Post by Bassmaster2008 » Fri Feb 22, 2008 2:18 pm

Tacoma area has been getting some veryyyyyy nice weather these past few days. Anybody tempted to legitimately go bassin' without deadstickin in 30ft of water or anything extremely slow like that? This weather spurt might get a few bass in the shallows later in the day. What will you guys be tryin this weekend for whoever might go?

The water temp is still only in the low to mid 40s. Fish are still 40-65ft deep but that doesnt mean you cant catch them

Awesome weather today...temp here in Kirkland hit 60F and the surface temp of Lake Washington in the Northend is 47.5F...it's warmin up! However, the lake fluctulates widely from the southern portions to the northern portions when temperature is concerned. I've been trolling along and have had 45 degree pockets and then 48 degree pockets of water...it does vary...even in as little as 400 yards. Spring is in the air and it's looking like a great time to get out and get a fish on the line!

Entire east channel at 43.4 yesterday morning to afternoon on all 3 of my temp sensors. The lake is beginning to turn over though. 1 fish caught in 35', kept in well to see if it had been up for a while. After 30 minutes in well showed no signs of needing to be fizzed, tells me this fish had been up for a while. Missed 2 other short strikes in same depth.
When you think you know it all, its time to quit. Knowledge should be gained on every trip.
