Lake Wenatchee or Fish lake?

I'm heading up to Lake Wenatchee Campground this weekend. I'm wondering if anyone knows if there are any smallmouth bass in Lake Wenatchee or if it's just Large Mouth Bass. Any advice for catching them again is greatly appreciated. Also does anyone know if Fish Lake has a decent Boat Launch yet. I've read that its only good for Car toppers due to rocks at the launch. any truth to that?

i personally havent launched a boat in years. i see all sorts of boats being luaunched there. i know wenatchee is way better to launch but unless you have a larger fiberglass you should be fine launching at fish.. i think the owner charges like 5 bucks to use it.

At Fish lake the "car topper" launch your referring to is a WDFW access located on the Northeast side of the lake at the end of a 2 mile long rough dirt road. If you want to launch a trailered boat you'll need to go to the Cove resort to put it in and yeah the Resort owner charges $5.00 to launch.

if the wind gets bad throw some powerbait or worms start at the top and let about 20ft of line out. you will limit in no time.

I camped at Lake Wenatchee last Memorial weekend and I recall finding out that there were no bass in that lake (I didn't fish it, though). Looks good for trout.

Thanks Aaron. I was not even aware there were lakes with out bass lol. I would of wasted a lot of time.

You never know though! I didn't even try. It's an awesome looking lake.

I don't think I will. I read that lake has selective gear rules. I don't want to crimp barbs and make sure all my lures have only 1 single point hooks on them.
