This is an awesome event, wish I could attend but I have back to back northern pike tournies in Idaho. Its also great that this tournament benefits the kids at Mary Bridge:thumleft: With careful planning, this musky guy will attend next year.
Best of luck to all the participants and enjoy!

Still thinking. Got one more upgrade to do to the boat, which isn't required to fish, just better info on the motor while running the boat that wasn't done correct by the motor installing shop. Am planning on fishing the lake Thr. and Fri. mornings. was going today, but did truck repairs instead.

Still thinking about it. Windy today so didn't go. Maybe tomorrow morning. But it might work out. I haven't fished the lake in many years other than spring time a year and a half ago.

Latest weather report says it's going to rain. Do you have rain gear?

Well, 1 of the 2 new parts came in today, the other probably won't be in until next week. The re-do of the instrument won't be until next week now. Hope to have the new parts on, tested, and set properly by the end of next week, but it's going to rain, so it can wait until next summer. hahaha

I'm planning on fishing tomorrow morning at sunup, maybe first light.

Pre-fishing cuts off Sun. night, so might even go again Sat. morning, depending on gas supply after tomorrow, and when I want to fill it up, probably tomorrow while it isn't raining. :-k

This sounds awesome and a great opportunity to meet and learn. I've never fished LW before on the boat. The $20 launch was too rich for my blood and the lake is huge. Don't know how my 16'5" aluminum boat will handle. Not to mention max speed of ~30MPH, cruising speed around 20MPH will definately hamper things.

Wouldnt even know where to start, LOL.

I'll let you know some time during the day Fri. about Sat., but we SHOULD go Sat. Don't know what time I'll get back home Fri. to stay, after getting gas and all. Noonish maybe, sometime in the afternoon anyway.

Got 1 part for the boat yesterday, and the other today. Got today's part installed, one of those 5 minutes parts. [biggrin] Should have yesterday's part installed in a couple hours. Even got the new Dobyn's rod yesterday, and tried it today, feels great. Makes 4 Dobyn's rods now. [thumbsup]

I forgot to get some silicon sealer for the bolts, so I can't put it back together tonight. The supplied bolts are too short anyway, but I cut 2 old bolts and might have to cut the other 2, but I don't think so, plenty of room under there for the lower bolts, but shorter would be better for a deep socket. Have no idea why they supply bolts that are 2" too long sometimes, even with the 1" long spacer they are 2" too long. lol . New bolts too short, old bolts too long. Oh well.

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
