Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?

It was a direct quote " " from the email Mike. Clear Lake kokanee were bigger than they had ever been before it fell to next to nothing. Clear Lake had always been consistent!!! seems unlikely that a change affecting all the state only impacts certain lakes on the westside. Maybe the kokanee on the...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?

Thank you sideburns...

Toni, did the Fisheries Guy really blame it on "climate change"? If that's the case, check out the recent report from Alta lake. The kokanee there are thriving and bigger than ever.

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?

Love being lectured and insulted all in one post. The truth is out, WDFW is giving me kickbacks for promoting Lake Kachess... I don't even understand your term "bias". I didn't say I prefer 10-12" kokanee. I said I'm perfectly happy enjoying a day on a lake and if that's what is available that is fi...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?

To each their own. When I think of all the amazing places I've learned about from other anglers over the past twenty plus years I couldn't disagree more. Life is short and my personal belief is to share knowledge, not hoard it. There's plenty of places to go and explore - if you're willing to be fle...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?

There's no doubt your thoughts reflect the migration of anglers from salmon and steelhead to other fish, in particular walleye and kokanee. Unfortunately it likely won't get better unless salmon and steelhead make a big rebound. and people stop moving to this state. As to changing limits. I can't sa...

I was only able to find stats - 1.5 acres, elevation 2450, 7 miles east of Glacier. Good luck and let us know how you do!

Re: Lake Roosevelt Invasive species inspection form

I would be in favor of a state-wide system rather than the possible of county by county permits like what has happened up in Whatcom county.

Re: Eagle Claw Featherlight Kokanee/Casting rods are here!

darn, I was out of town and missed that sale price. Well, I have 6 of them, why do I need more (question all rod collectors ask themselves...). I don't mind the lack of ceramic eyes - one less thing to break. If they get nicked that would be a problem.

Re: Member Names

Absolutely! There is no way I'd use my real name anywhere on the internet. Just plain dangerous. I wouldn't use my real name as a user name anywhere online tbh. I'm not trying to hide in anonymity or anything, just don't wanna make it easier than it already is to get my info stolen. Yaaa! Umm...gul...

Re: Member Names

I'd use my real name if I could figure out how to do it--I chose a dorky name when I joined! Bob, can you provide instructions? I've seen this request on other forums--the belief it is leads to fewer abusive posts if people are using their real names. I don't think we have that issue on this site. ...
