My computer gets rebooted a couple times per year. My browsers get closed about that many times as well. I use Incognito and InPrivate browser sessions to test logins for alternate test accounts because the cookies are destroyed when you close the browser. My main Chrome window always stays open and...

Re: also need to have links with-in a post open in it's own window

This isn't something I'm likely to tackle. Pressing the CTRL button when clicking, or clicking with the middle mouse button, or right clicking and selecting open in new tab. All viable and sensible options. It's been discussed at length here. Read it if you want to see what technical oriented people...

Re: lake index

There is a well known saying "If it aint broke, don't fix it" which would seem to apply here, the new site is tedious ,slow and difficult to use,After three attempts now I have not been able to find what I wanted and don't have time to sit and go through page after page in the effort.Doubtless there ...

Re: Somethign weird going on with attached photos

The problem is with images taken and/or uploaded using a mobile device or tablet. The EXIF data in the image contains a value that states what the orientation of the photo SHOULD be, but the OS of the device usually adjust the view of the image to make it look correct without changing the EXIF data....

Re: lake index

Main Menu: Research > Area Information Find the area you're researching, In the Hot Spots column, click on the far right link. Not intuitive I know, but there it is. Also, it's just a basic page with all hotspots and now filtering. I'll expand on this page as well as time permits. Gotta get my way t...

Re: lake index

The lake index was really just a different way to sort the reports.

Go to Main Menu: Reports > All Reports > Freshwater Lakes

Re: New website

These are little things that are a hassle in a ease of use sense, and that will all get worked out. Over time we placed those items on the old site because everyone needed them and used them a lot. We didn't remove them for any particular reason, we just didn't really have a list of every little thi...

Re: New website

1. It is my understanding that users stay logged in 24/7 now UNLESS they use multiple devices. The only times I find myself logged out is if I check the site on my phone then come back to my PC. 2. The Details/View link will change color after reading. I'll consider making the color change a higher ...

Re: Active forum topics button?

I'm not a big fan of the mobile menu system, too much clicking IMO. After things slow down I'm going to switch to a side loading menu.
