Freezing Corn

I froze another 2 dozen ears today. I froze Yakima corn 2 weeks ago and today was Auburn Valley corn. I clean 2doz ears cut in half . Blanch corn for 7 mins in boiling water then into a ice water bath for 10 mins. Drain corn and pack in Food Saver bags and freeze.

Meeker st bridge is good. Go down 196th to either Frager or Russell Roads. Lots of access areas.

Re: Breach into WDFW online purchases

Hahaha. Not funny but when I went for my clearance to work for the Navy they told me the same.I got the two year deal from the state. I did get a cool hat from the Nimitz though with my name embroided on it.

Re: Snohomish

The Skagit has a good flow of water. The Snohomish, the Green in King county are real clear. Coho get lockjaw in the clear low rivers. JMO. We need rain real bad.

Saur Kraut Time

This Kraut is as good as it gets. Nothing like the store bought ones. If you haven't had home made your missing out. Wash the cabbage and remove any wilted outer leaves. Quarter the cabbage, remove the core, and slice the cabbage into thin strips (I shoot for around ¼" wide). Try to make the strips ...

Re: WDFW Fishing with disabilities ADA rep.

I'm reading this especially since I tried fishing in the Skykomish up past Gold Bar. At Reiter there are no HNDCP parking anywhere. The whole hatchery area is open. I drove in there looking for a Hndcp parking and was asked to leave. It burned me up because I could not fish anywhere. It was a long dr...

Re: Fishing License Data Breach

I feel that the state should lower their pricing of the license for those who purchased this year. Its a very small way to compensate us.

Re: GREEN RIVER

Probably the worst part of the upper Green will be shallow water with no rain. I'm thinking about a lot of darker fish. The Green can be awesome when the freshet is happening.I'd think the Meeker bridge area would be good because the water tends to be deeper.Like from the NC hole to the RJC area. JMO

Re: Killing Cormorants to protect salmon/Steelhead

I grew up living on the lake Washington near Seward Park. I've seen cormorants for years especially right off both I90 and 520. I see them all over the lake. For years I thought they should let us shoot them. They are all over the Green River in King county.

Re: Trucks/stowing rods..?

A suburban is my next vehicle. I have a 1990 xtra long bed Toyota now. Before that I had a Suburban. The pickup is great for hauling wood , manure for the yard and off roading. With my back being out most of the time a pickup dosent help.I agree with a Suburban type vehicle. Much more comfort for an...

Re: Spokane St Bridge / Duwamish mouth Open for fishing?

If and when the Spokane bridge opens just take note that it is combat fishing at the least. Its best if you speak a few languages. Make sure you have a ring net. Some guys have ring nets but I prefer my own gear. You'll have snaggers and lots of them.

Mainly apple which I prefer to smoke with. Even burning apple is good. I'm trying to get a pickup load next week. Traut for you I have s...
