Re: WTB okie drifters
I had a foot doctor at V Mason Clinic who had a older Penn 209 reel and an older Eagle Claw mooching rod with the wooden handle hanging on his office wall marked as a antique. I used to chuckle cuz I still use mine.I still use my first reel which was a Phluger Supreme 1954 reel.Im very old school wi...

Re: Squidding 2016
When I jig the bottom I put a small weight at the very bottom on 2# test line. Let the weight hit and get stuck to know where the bottom is. You can lose lots of jigs bottom jigging.

Re: C'mon, man.
The WDFW tells me to call the State Patrol. The State Patrol tells us to call the WDFW. I'm not bashing the State Patrol but they don't care or don't want to get involved in fishing rights. The tribal police are a real joke. There aren't enough wardens to patrol the rivers.Oregon rivers are full of ...

Re: looking for eggs
You guys are funny. You'll buy fireworks, cigarettes ,gasoline, support casinos but feel horrible buying eggs from the native Americans. LOL. I go to the 1st south bridge and buy eggs. Big deal. Its better then no eggs for steelhead season. They are going to fish whether you buy eggs or not. Try the ...

Re: Leaders with egg loop
I plunk for both salmon and steelhead. I use plugs a lot. Reverse tie a swivel to leader then tie your plug to the other end. Once you cast and your weight sticks undo the clip on the swivel , snap it back and let it slide down your line. the lip will catch the drift and take the plug down. I usuall...

That's right and for those cold winter nights. If and when crabbing starts I boil with the crabs. You don't get to be my size by not eating good starches.
