Re: Eagle Claw Featherlight Kokanee/Casting rods are here!
Although I know better, I had straight 20 lb powerpro braid or 6 lb suffix nanobraid on all of my rods while loosing fish after fish.... slow rods and no stretch line and psychotic fish....... im a little embarrassed it took me as long as it did to pull my head out of my_______. I dont care for mono...

Re: Eagle Claw Featherlight Kokanee/Casting rods are here!
Its been a while since i actually gave my kokanee rods a good work out with a bunch of kokanee, until this last week at loon lake. Those little 11-14 inch kokanee are some of the most explosive and violent fighting kokes i've ever fought! Unfortunately, I had a hard time landing them with the eagle ...

Re: Looking for a specific sort of rod...
Like this? 6 ft fiberglass with roller guides? My dad buys every penn he can find at garage sales. This rod came attached to one of the dozens of old penns we have.
Your welcome to it if you want it?
Definitely a meat rod!

Re: What is considered a "big" or "trophy" crappie?
I havent caught any over 12 inches this year yet! 12 inches is a nice crappie. My pb is 13.5. Usually dont get em that big in my local west side waters till august and september... when I find them trolling in the middle of the lakes/ponds.

Re: Sort order of reports
Sorry about the confusion, but I believe they are sorted by "fished date" right now. Latest reports used to be sorted by "date posted". So, for example: "AMX takes 2 days to post his latest Lake Sawyer report, when he finally gets around to it, nobody will see it because 2 days of reports will show...

Re: Downrigger Weight Snubber Vs bumper
Scotty sells a snubber to install between the downrigger and ball. Its supposed to keep you from shock loading the downrigger line when lowering/stopping and snapping off the ball. Its also supposed to isolate the electrical field around the ball (if you buy into that kinda thing) I have never used ...

Re: Camping on river/lake banks
We would camp right on the beach with tents, campers and rv's with several boats and motorcycles at Moses lake, in the dunes all throughout the 1990's. They keep vehicles and campers way away from the water now (certain distance) and wouldnt let boats beach at all (10 years ago). Those rules could h...

Re: Lake Merwin fisherman, get in here...
Ive heard lots of good reports from over the last week! Good luck. Many also fish yale back to back and say yale is better action, smaller fish. Might be a little late, but brads kcp's and hochies in pinks and oranges seem to be very popular.

Re: Cutthroat Stink
I have kept a large cutthroat from a private 2 acre pond before that smelled and tasted foul. That specific bass pond hadnt been stocked with cutts for 30 plus years when the young kids at that time used to throw fish caught out of a local creek in there! It tasted just like you would think coming o...

Re: 12V portable bilge recommendations..?
My live well pump failed too! Ill be doing nearly the exact same repairs to our lund very soon. The flooring in ours is going to need work at the same time though. Getting soft. As far as I can tell, on my lund the entire surrounding consoles/compartment well have to be disassembled to remove and re...

species filter for lake index
Could you please add a species filter to the area info page, or the freshwater lakes index? If its not too much trouble. There is no way currently to search for lakes in Washington with crappie reports, or cutthroat reports, etc.. example: It would be extremely convenient, from the freshwater lake i...

Re: Vinyl-ish boat flooring..
They are definitely pop rivets, I can see the residual stem of the rivet shaft in one of the holes in the first pic. They might go all the way through into some kind of stringer or they have a rivet washer on the back side (assembles before panels installed?)

Re: 12V portable bilge recommendations..?
The diaphragm pump that is in the pics too is kinda nice because it works to fill a cooler for a short term live well if needed. Its way overkill though, I just had it around.
