Re: Here we go again!
In MY opinion the tribes are way more organized then anybody has given them credit for. They seem to be boycotting the system and the ONLY way the sport fisherman CAN be heard is to boycott that same system. Stop buying saltwater license, report cards and any thing else to do with Salmon fishing. St...

Re: Ice Reports 2016-2017
I have seen pictures of several folks on the ice in the area of the I 90 bridge in Moses Lake, it looks like the perch are running about 12" to 13".

Re: Bradley smoker new in box
If it wasn't for it needing those specific pads for fuel I'd be interested...I've heard lots of good things about these units, But I live on an island and that fuel can be hard to come by ... Bradley smokers are awesome, I have two of them in my smoke room and am using them every week this winter. ...

Fishing and Hunting Fee Increases
A post came out today on Facebook from Northwest Sportsman magazine stating that Sen. Kirk Pearson is looking for public comment on proposed fee increases. I don't know how to share these post to this, I hope somebody smarter than me can do it because folks here need to be able to voice their opinio...

Re: Fishfinder/Chartplotter Recommendations:
I should have included that I also bought all my electronics online from the GPS Store. Outstanding customer service, best price I could find. I researched and compared different units for over a year and I just wish I had not waited so long before deciding on the Garmin.

Re: Fishfinder/Chartplotter Recommendations:
I run the Garmin 741xs with the TM150 (chirp) transducer. I have been using it for the past three years, very easy to learn, easy updates and works great in salt water as well as fresh water lakes and rivers. If I ever have to replace my electronics I will always go with Garmin. You could do a search...

Re: Ice Reports 2016-2017
The boat basin at the Coulee City park is frozen over. Several years ago when I lived in Entiat I used to ice fish this basin for perch and it seems we always did pretty good but it was some what of a drive. Now that I live in Coulee City I'm thinking about going down and sitting on the dock, punchi...

Re: Palmer Lake Kokanee
Buffalo Lake is heavily infested also. We found them on Kokanee and Rainbow. I talked with a tribal biologist that said there was nothing that could stop the infestation short of draining the entire lake because the lice can live in the water even without a host fish. Seems that if it's not one thin...

Re: Would like to fish through the winter-Do I need to winte
The only thing I do is when I pull the boat up out of the water I just lower the motor and allow ALL the water to drain out then raise the motor and head home. Also I don't use the livewell pump or wash down pump during the winter. Just a couple things to keep in mind, carry some sand or kitty litte...

Re: Potholes - submerged bridge?
That is a railroad bridge( it says at Saddle Mt.), the bridge shown on the graph is a roadway bridge as you can see by the 90 degree turns in the road(which would probably be section lines). As a retired bridge builder I think this was probably a bridge less then 30 feet long and and 6-8 foot above ...

Re: Potholes - submerged bridge?
Three years ago when I installed our Garmin 741xs one of our first trips was to Potholes. I was just starting to learn how to use the Garmin. When I saw the submerged road I followed until we got to the submerged bridge then turned and followed Crab Creek upstream and into the dunes. I was amazed at...

We fished Jamison last weekend, we caught a couple over 10 inches and tons of 3-8 inch fish. Jamison is only about 40 mins. from our house and I wont be going there again this year and if I had to drive from the west side I know for sure I wouldn't make the trip. We will be going back to Buffalo lak...

Re: Marine Canvas
We had to have some repairs to our boat canvas two years after we bought our Hewescraft. It turned out that Hewes used regular cotton thread rather than marine grade thread, so my only advise would be who ever you choose to do your work to ask about the thread and snaps being used as this is a large...

Re: SUN LAKES
We live in Coulee City so we went down to Blue Lake about a week ago. We targeted perch, we fished about five hours and caught 5 perch between 8 to 13 inches and an unbelievable amount of perch between 3-8 inches. We didn't see anybody catch any trout. I usually hate to see the game dept kill off an...

Re: Wanapum dam boat launch on down stream side?
Three years ago I launched below Wanapum this time of year and found a shallow spot in the middle of the river right under the power lines. The water went from about 30 feet to 2 feet in a hurry, I was able to kill the motor and raise it quickly and only hit at a slow speed and didn't do any damage ...
