Re: Rufus Woods boat launches

Not sure about Coyote creek but Seaton Grove is free but does not have a dock, the launch at Chief Joe is also free and has a great dock. If I am ever unsure about a fee I just go someplace else. Good Luck

Re: A Bait & Release Question On Lake Roosevelt

hlindsay We that fish Lake Roosevelt often have discussed this topic to death and several of us have contacted WSFG and seem to all got the same answer, you have to release wild trout and those released DO count toward your daily limit even if they are bleeding and or dying. I don't disagree with yo...

Re: Best Crab Pots

Sideburns, check Johns Sporting Goods online in Everett, they have always had the best prices I could find and I don't know if they still offer it but they used to have free shipping. I always hate to use craigslist or other online personal sales sites because of the time, gas, and personal safety i...

Re: Pros and Cons of OverPowering a Boat

At a recent NWFR get together at Lake Chelan one of the sponsors (propeller shop from Spokane) put on a great presentation, I always knew that putting a different prop on a boat could change performance but there are other tricks to consider also like at what height your motor is mounted on you boat...

Re: Older Garmin GPS Softare Update

I recently got an email from Garmin stating that my 741xs GPS needs to be updated, I don't know diddly squat about how to do it and don't know what the abbreviations stand for or what there meanings are. When I tried to download the update to a chip it said I needed to format to something different....

Re: Metal detecting

I have wanted to try that for several years. During the summer of 1999 we built a new boat facility at 25 Mile Creek State park at Lake Chelan. We finished that project in the fall during high water. The next spring I went back to do some "punch list" work, the water was so low that there was no wat...

Re: Banks Lake Walleye Classic

I was just wondering, Do you folks release the spawning females as they are caught or do you take them in for the weigh in then release them. They seem to be at the peak of the spawn right now. Thanks Bob

Re: Help with Moses lk plz

The only place I have ever had fishing gear stolen from my boat was at Best Western in Moses Lake, don't trust their security. If you are RV or tent camping there is a nice RV park with boat moorage just south of the freeway at the I 90 bridge. They have spaces with just water and power hook ups clo...

Re: Help with Moses lk plz

On the positive side at least it sounds like you learned a lot about the lake and the different areas. I'm not sure what is going on with the walleye bite this year, it seems to be almost nonexistent in many of the lakes. We fished Banks Lake(Barker flats) again yesterday and 7 hours of trying every...

Re: Help with Moses lk plz

Just about all of Moses Lake could be fished with a pontoon. We fish from Connolly to Rocky Ford creek, most of the water is between 8 ft. and 18 ft. the closer you get to Rocky Ford creek the more shallow the water get and it starts getting really weedy so we don't go into that channel. Moses Lake ...

Re: April Outing Set for Western Wa. Walleye Club

Should be a great event for you guys, I live in Coulee City and we have been fishing walleye a lot since the ice left us. If there is any info that I can help you with before your event I would be happy to help out. I won't be able to be here the weekend of your event as I will be at Lake Chelan at ...

Re: Help with Moses lk plz

Outstanding advise from both Lee and David, the only thing that I might add is that while fishing the cove next to Connolly park if you start picking up perch to stop and anchor and start targeting perch. Perch should be schooled up and feeding actively and where there are big perch there are small ...

Re: Harassing members on report posts

I have always shared everything I do on every outing and never really understood why somebody would withhold information about where they were fishing or what they using and all that, but recently I went on a trip with a fellow that had been catching amazing fish in an area that I was having a hard ...

Re: Lake Roosevelt

Water is getting lower and dirtier day by day. We fished it last Sunday and you couldn't see over about 8 inches into the water. Be sure to check water elevation for the ramp you want to use, a lot of the ramps can't be used right now.

That happens to me on Lake Wenatchee. When I get close to one certain house my Garmin totally wacks out. I have to shut it down and restart it after we are past that one house, crazy. This has happen the past three years.

Re: Potholes / Moses Lake area hotels

There is a RV Park across the road from the Potholes State Park, They have a few park model trailers they rent by the night. We stayed in one of them a couple years ago and it was really nice and affordable. There is another smaller RV Park about 6 or 7 miles east of Mardon that also rent park models.

Re: Catch and ReleaseTrout BAIT fishing

namaycush, the term that WSFG used when I researched this topic was "those bleeding fish are Eagle food". This practice of releasing injured fish has always bothered me especially when I would fish on a charter boat out of Westport. Somebody would bring in a wild salmon at a time when you couldn't k...
