Re: Roosevelt 'eyes
Fishinlegend, there is a place on the tribal side of the river. Look it up on Google map, it's called West End Church and accessed of West End Road. I haven't fished it in a couple years but it used to be a great walleye spot. just be aware that if you launch from the tribal side of the river you ne...

Re: Lake Roosevelt Invasive species inspection form
Thanks for the information update, we fish Roosevelt a lot and this is the first I have heard of this. The invasive species is a huge problem in the lakes we have fished in Arizona. At Lake Havasu we were checked several times at the launch when we brought our boat out of the water and at one point ...

Re: Roosevelt 'eyes
I was ready to offer up a bunch of information to help you get into some walleye until I got to the part of your post about not paying to use the launch. Right now the water levels are to low for anybody to launch with a trailer so shore launching is about the only other option. We (folks with boats...

hewesbob, Can you please post contact info for emailing Region 1 personnel? Names, email addresses, etc? Re: Chapman Lake update
I just emailed region 1 asking when we can expect access. WSFG has the money appropriated for the purchase and access improvements of the old resort. If I hear something I will post it, but everybody should email them so they get the idea that several folks are interested fishing Chapman again. In m...

Bid opening is April 5th, it can take between a week and a month to get all the contract and paper work approved. This contract allows 90 working days. Working days are counted as 5 days a week excluding holidays unless the Special Provisions require working 7 days a week which I doubt in this case ...

Re: looking for an aluminum boat
I have the 2011 Hewescraft Sportsman 180 and love it. The boat that Barchaser1 provided the link to is a great boat and well worth the guys asking price. The NADA blue book price for that boat $19,790 not counting the cost of the kicker motor, wash down system and side lock plates. If this boat were...

Re: Best line for trolling walleyes???
Most of our fishing is for walleye, both Eastern Washington lakes and the Columbia and Snake rivers. All our walleye gear is rigged with 12# Maxima and we use the same for leaders on our Slow Death rigs. I tried braid line for a couple years and it was a real pain in rear end when you get hung up( a...

Re: Buffalo lake, Colville Reservation
We didn't fish Buffalo last summer because of what we found there year before last. Most all fish caught were infested with lice (I know somebody will chime in with the scientific name). I have seen lice on fish from other lakes but nothing like this lake, balls of lice would burrow completely into ...

Re: Westport-Ocean Shores Ferry
Are you asking regarding a private ferry service or a ferry service by Washington DOT ferry service? In my opinion if a private service thought they could operate and make a profit that there would already be a ferry running a schedule. With that said the thought of running yet another Washington St...

Lake Chelan Gettogether
Hi Mike, will there be a gettogether at Lake Chelan again this year? And if there is what dates have you been thinking of?
A couple of Central Washington fishing groups have asked me if I have heard anything yet.

Re: Towing a boat over passes
One thing to think about is ice on the boat ramps at Chelan. Just about everybody I know that fish from a boat here in Eastern Washington during the winter carry a set of chains for the tow rig and nobody is bashful about using them. You may find ice just at the waters edge of the entire length of t...

Re: Pollution Killing off Salmon
Pollution in our waters is a horrible thing but in my opinion it is wayyyyy down on the list of what is killing Salmon. The top three reason for the Salmon decline are GILL NETS, GILL NETS,GILL NETS followed by an over population of SEALS, followed by illegal over harvesting, and don't forget that t...
