Re: Tying Jigs?
It is a major savings. I pour, paint, tie. The most expensive part of the jig is the hook. Paint, lead, materials, all cheap compared to the hook. Mustad 32833 is all I use and is very cost effective for strong, sharp hooks. Might start with purchasing painted jig heads. Then you can put your effort...

Re: 14' Lund Dreamboat w/ modifications
Iboats is a good resource for you. The forum is great for diagnosing or repairing outboards. They also have quite a bit on modifications like you are doing. Might want to check it out.

Re: 14' Lund Dreamboat w/ modifications
Since the previous owner went that long without changing bearings, I would make it a point to change the impeller in the outboard.
Keep up the good work! Keep us posted.

Re: Fly Tying Station & Work Bench
Great idea! Nice to have everything organized. Every time I tie it ends up looking like a bomb went off! Wouldn't mind making something like that myself.

My Halloween treat! STEEL!
Hit the river this morning and picked up a couple silvers still in good shape, a steelhead and a dolly. Dolly went back in unharmed. The steelhead almost ended up back in the water also! As I pulled it from the water my leader snapped and as the fish is flipping and flopping on the ground along the ...

Re: Anyone else had a horrible Coho season?
Very tough season so far! Although starting to get better. Last 2 trips have been making up. Trip before last I actually lost count of how many coho I released.....more then a dozen! last trip a bit tougher with only 4....but compared to season in a whole....terrible! We will see how it ends, not to...

Fat Hen!
The hen on the bottom had twice as many eggs in just one sac, then all four sacs/skeins that came from other 2 hens. Hard to see in the pic but you could see the indentations of the eggs through the skin!

Re: Body of male found floating in the Duwamish River
Last year somebody backed there car out of the driveway right into the river she didn't make it either, that was close to the community center. I don't like taking my kid to that river to much crazy stuff and ghetto people. Always carry a gun down there. It's too bad that scumbags have ruined the b...

Re: Twitching Jigs for Coho article
Great article, but I would like to add something to the part about using braid. When using braid in the river you should ALWAYS have some leader on the end of your main line. NOT because coho are line shy, in my opinion they will still hit jig even with high-vis braid tied straight to jig. However i...

Do I need to floss You need to stick to planter trout in a lake.. ](*,) Flossing is for people with no real angling skill. Anyone who says they have to floss totally misses the point of angling. And as said, should just stick to planter trout. Wow, planter trout. Now that one hurt.... It's funny ho...

Looks like a buck...look at the mouth and eye. The kype(?) not sure if I am remembering name correctly but basically the joint of the mouth is forward of the eye on a hen. That fish looks like it goes aft of the eye.
