I would be willing to bet sodium sulfite had something to do with it.

Re: How to get a Cougar?
Cougar taste excellent! I have only had it once but it tasted great! Smelled like pork chops being cooked, while it was cooking. Tasted very similar to pork chops but was more tender. If you get the chance to try it....try it!

I agree with Danny. Just Need a good push of fish, once some numbers start showing up at the hatcheries we should get a chance at some.

Re: skagit and stilly emergency closure
So does anyone know the answer to if netting has been closed too?? It would make no sense to allow netting while closing sport fishing! It is NOT sport fishermen that harvest the big numbers. VERY SAD!!!

Re: twitching jigs - neat or down & dirty
It doesn't matter what we think they look like, pretty or ugly. More important is what they look like hopping along the river bed, under the water. The action put on the jig is most important. Jigs really only need to be pretty to catch fisherman.

Re: Camano Island beaches
Not sure where Tillicum beach is. For easiest access I would say cavelaro, but where I saw and caught the most numbers in the past was right at the south tip of island. The area on the east side of island where there are lots of boats tied up to buoys(this may be tilicum beach) holds lots of fish al...

Re: Camano Island beaches
hey Joshh, I would hit cavelaro(spelling). Last pink season I lived out there(1 mile from cavelaro launch) I would launch my boat there and on several occasions saw people catching both pinks and coho. Also, if you can find a way to hike down at the end tip of camano that is a good spot. I always go...

Re: rigged hoochie storage
The noodles work great....I cut shallow slots so the line is protected in the noodle. I like the noodles for in the boat and I use the flat foam sheets for storing in back pack/fishing bag(store in magnum tray/plano). As for the stilly, I am right on the south fork and it is LOW! Last summer watched...

Hobby lobby has foam sheets in all different colors. If you want thicker then what they have, you can always glue a couple together.....works great. They are cheap.

Re: Bananas and Fishing Bad Luck
I wouldn't call it superstition, as there is some science behind the theory. also, I bet you won't find a banana in the lunch box of very many fishing guides out there. Fishing and bananas don't go together in my opinion.

Bait buttons work really well at keeping shrimp at upper end of hook shank.
