Re: any new ice fishing equipment this year???

Vexilar announced that every thing they have made for this year has already been "pre-sold" out. I have most all the lineup on the shelves right now including the one and only one I am allowed of their newest top of the line the FSDV20DT double vision color camera and FL-20 flasher combo package. RE:Ice Reports

Well maybe the good Lord is looking out for me but I am all packed up and was to leave to Banks to ice fish this weekend, but my Chubby Darters and Jason Mitchell rods did not come in today. I talked to a city official yesterday who indicated the ice was probably safe. Sooo now dang it, guess I will...

RE:BAFFLED by BOTTOM BOUNCERS

In Washington state since we cannot use live minnows or leaches the bottom bouncer with a double hook spinner and worm is probably the easiest rig to use, (Dons Dandy Walleye Rig) is a guide made time proven Walleye fetcher, or new to the scene is the Banks Bonker. The biggest mistake guys make in r...

RE:Ice Reports

Me thinks this just might be a good year for ice. Now if the dollar will hold up maybe we will be able to afford to go, but things sure are looking dark on the exchange. I think the fools in Washington just might have found a way to sink the ship with projections coming out that the dollar will loos...

RE:Where to get lead?

Pleese do not use battery lead, as you can NEVER get the acid out completely and it makes the lead extremely TOXIC, thus giving EPA a very good reason to ban it's use... I am sitting on about 7 tons of various lead alloy and formulations mostly used for making bullets but I would hold off until Nove...

Every 14' I have encountered had a rating up to 25hp, nowadays however something I think most people miss is that the newer 4 strokes are heavier than their 2 stroke counterparts, so keep that in mind as well..

3" of new or forming ice is safe, (booming) or (Cracking) from freezing. NOT safe if it's rotting ice or absence of booming or cracking. Lots of ice experience from Northern Minnesota. PS: you should always have a set of ice spikes around your shoulders regardless of the ice thickness...

If you have a boat head to the mouth of the Palouse River on the Snake. This time of year now for the next whole month is prime time, the catch limit is the most liberal anywhere in Washington state and thats for a good reason, lots of them! Send me your address and I will send you a sample of my Wa...

RE:Plunking! What am I doing?

Gotta love it! For years I beat the banks and caught my share of fish and almost always the plunkers would have fish on the banks. As I got older and wiser, I realized that the time put in per fish by plunkers vs drifters is lower and the success rate is higher. I can't say that is backed up by scie...
