I looked up the rod at Cabelas's website. Apparently, you can add an optional weight balancing thing to your rod so it isn't so tip heavy. I like the idea of a one piece rod for jigging. I am seriously thinking of ordering the rod you mentioned. Anyhow, I probably won't bother with that option until...

I'm in the process of getting a rod specifically for twitching jigs in rivers. Range from 1/8 to 3/8 most of the of the time. Maybe 1/2 oz jigs now and then. Which brand/model/specs switching rods do you prefer and why?

I've been watching the NOAA gage page for the rivers. The skykomish is right around 6 ft now and slowly climbing up. I'm not optimistic they'll open her up, but they should.
