Re: Why so few reports on Area 7?

Welcome to the forum, great first post. You are correct in your assessment that A7 fishers tend to be fairly tight lipped. Once you get to know some of the regulars out there most of your needed intel comes via text message or phonecall. Of late, fishing pressure has been increasing exponentially in...

Re: Thoughts on line twist when trolling flashers..?

2 things: Use a good quality swivel on your mainline. I generally run a stainless ball bearing swivel with a coastlock snap on it on my mainline, then clip that snap to my flasher. I mainly do this for easy gear change-outs. I frequently change whole setups if I can't find what the fish want, and it...

Re: Tribal gill net at the Shipwreck

I would much much rather see gill nets in the bay than in the rivers. Probably a Tulalip boat, and their hatchery does Chum, Chinook, and Coho... so they kind of have every right to those fish, especially considering they DO NOT net the Snohomish River.

No harm no foul I say. Let em' fish.

Re: Have all the Pinks moved?

The coho are in NOW don't waste any time waiting for them. They have been catching steady limits in many of the go-to areas.

See you out there.

Re: Rain to open up rivers?

I was in the Snohomish river today, and we saw temps of 16.5*c (62*f). Well below lethal levels for salmonids.

Re: Rain to open up rivers?

Unfortunately now we are in a holding patern/stalemate. The tribes are going to advise the state to proceed with caution on the openers.... If the state tries to open the tribes will likely push back. It's going to take a cooperative agreement to open them up at this point. Here in lies one of the g...

Re: Did anyone here get kicked off the Puy today?

The reg book reads like an Ikea instruction pamphlet for a Decowonder Entertainment Center.

"Insert peg L into cam lock N on leg T-1. Twist leg T-1 in an anti-clockwise fashion until peg F lines up with Ikea smartmatch locking nut NB-3. Repeat steps 1-9 to affix leg T-1 to your face."

Re: snohomish tides

Langus is a great launch but it is way down river from where the majority of people are fishing. Langus is less effected by the tides, but you have a long run up river and a couple huge no wake zones to get through. I think rotary is good at anything above a 0 tide, but its been a while. Do NOT atte...

Re: Do additional salmons include pinks?

I believe the reg in question reads "2 Salmon, combined PLUS two additional PINKS." So you can keep 2 adult salmon, any species that are open (or a combination thereof) plus 2 ADDITIONAL pink salmon, for a total of 4 salmon.... all pinks if you so choose. Once the silvers show it can be 2 silvers, 2...

Re: Shipwreck tide trolling direction

For pelagic fishes like Silvers and Pinks, it is best to troll with the current. The fish will swim with there heads INTO the current for the most part, especially so in the upper water column. So if you go with the current, you will be dragging it into their face, if you go against it you are dragg...

Re: Where to launch prop boat for pinks

If you are willing and able I would say launch that puppy at Mukilteo and go get involved in the Slay Fest in humpy hollow in the sound, Area 8-2. It has been completely lights out for pinks out there for several weeks now.

Re: Pixie spoons for salmon

The best way to fish them is a stop and go retrieve. Crank a few times then stop and let it flutter, crank, repeat. The fish will pick it up while it's dropping to flutter and the next time you go to reel it will be "fish on"
