Re: That's so thrifty! (Budget-friendly fishing tips compilation)
Hahaha, you guys are too funny. Yeager's is awesome, I remember frequenting that store while attending Bellingham Technical College, I drove within a couple miles of it every day between school and work, and have spent many dollars I never intended to on fishing gear from their store, great prices o...

That's so thrifty! (Budget-friendly fishing tips compilation)
Good evening guys. As many of you have probably already seen, I have been jumping around on different forums trying to figure out cost-effective ways to get back into fishing. I figured others could benefit from what I have learned from my research, and the comments you have all given me! I thought ...

Re: Spiderwire tackle bag?
Huh, a camera bag, that's a great idea, I saw one at a thrift store I found that sells used tackle, I'll have to stop by there before buying anything and see what I can find. Thanks for the tip!

Spiderwire tackle bag?
Now that I am rebuilding my tackle selection, I am switching to the modular tackle boxes by Plano. I've filled 3 and have a Lucky Tacklebox shipment coming in a couple weeks, so I am curious which tackle boxes/bags you guys prefer designed for the modular boxes. I am looking at one made by Spiderwir...

Mike, I have a small folding table I use to clean fish, if you'd like I can wash it down with bleach and bring it along to place food on. Let me know if that would help, it's pretty small, maybe 3.5 foot by 2 foot. Could hold a couple platters.

Re: Decent beginner's baitcaster?
I have always used casting reels on spincast stuff if I want or need to. While I have casting rods as well I am not shy about doing it the other way. If I was stressing my rods to the max I might me more concerned about 'spine' but I don't. I check and make sure the line doesn't hit the pole but ev...

Re: Smaller Fish Line Release
I loved my Chamberlain release for about 2 months - until I had a problem and they refused to do anything about it. They say the releases are salt water safe but they are not. The magnets rust in no time at all and break the plastic. I sent them pics of the rusted, exploded release and they said to...

Re: New website
Everything you've mentioned has been talked about already. Please read the topics in the forums you are posting before creating a new topic, as doing so will result in less clutter/duplicate posts. The site is still new, give the admin time to work out the problems before complaining too much. Espec...

Re: Decent beginner's baitcaster?
Bass Pro sells one called the Pro Qualifier that his highly rated for the money. I bought about a dozen a few years back when they were on sale for $79.99 and was very pleased with their performance for the dollar. I used them a lot with rookie baitcaster users as you can set the brakes, side adjus...

Good to hear! The images you posted require you to have a g-mail account to view I think. It keeps asking me to log in when I try to open them in another window, and they aren't showing up in the post itself. Glad the pontoon worked well for you. It is a very stable pontoon, I had some idiot in a ba...

I was told by one of my old coworkers that this is right on the meth trafficking highway for the entire country. I cant' remember which highway it was, but there is one that goes through Coulee that is an east/west highway that is not monitored by the police hardly at all. Lots of tweekers and meth ...

Hello MicroDoloBro! That picture of you when you were a youngster is awesome! I remember seeing a young girl about that age catch a 4 or 5 pound broodstock rainbow in the mother's day derby we held at the Belilngham Hatchery on one of those walmart barbie kids fishing poles. I think the dad was more...

Re: Looking for a pup or young dog for my daughter
Awesome news that you found a dog! It really is hard to tell what your family will fall in love with, and like amx said, finding that out is part of the fun. Looking forward to the pictures! This was the first time I had looked for pups in over 10 years, I see what you mean with all these "rehoming"...

Re: Decent beginner's baitcaster?
Thanks Amx. I think the Dick's Sporting goods at the Silverdale mall had their baitcasters hooked up to display rods to test out feel. I was thinking a 7 to 1 ratio looked good form the research I've been doing online. Auburn is a ways from me, I'd have to either drive around on the tacoma narrows o...
