Re: Bellefield Park Ponds

Walked by these ponds again last week. First of all, I think they are much too shallow and sparse to hold much of anything in them. I'll bet they'll be even more shallow come Summer. Further, though the rear entrance I've been using in unmarked, the front entrance to the community is very clearly ma...

Bellefield Park Ponds

There are a couple of very small ponds in the Bellefield park development in Bellevue near 112 Ave NE and Bellefield Park Lane. RE:Winds from the east.....

It might me interesting to keep track of the effect of wind and barometric pressure on your fishing success (or lack there of) for a season or two. Without systematically recording your results, it'll be hard to really get a feel for whether or not there's merit to those theories. Confirmation bias ...

RE:Release vs Keep

Like many other respondents, my decision to keep a fish is generally based on a) whether or not I like eating the fish in question, b) the likelihood that I’ll eat the fish before it spoils, and c) if I feel like cleaning fish later that day. I believe that buying food from a store alienates the con...

Bass Book Recommendations?

Anybody willing to recommend a good Bass fishing book? I'd prefer something that tries to get the reader in to the mind of a bass, so to speak. References to scientific studies would be a plus. I'm not so interested in a simple laundry list of proven tactics. I already own Washington Fishing by Rudn...

RE:bass fishing in lake washington

You'll find some info on Lake Washington Bass in this thread . Also, check the Lake Washington fish reports located here . Lastly, check the Bass Forum. This post may be helpful. Generally speaking, I believe the area around the Arboretum is a popular Large Mouth spot. Small Mouth can be found here ...

RE:Anybody fished Forbes Lake (Kirkland)?

Probably you're talking about Forbes, as it is just a few blocks away from the Costco located at 8629 120th Ave NE.

Thanks for the feedback.

You may be interested in the reader comments at www.epinions.com (if you haven't already viewed them of course). Here's a little summary of features to look for in a trolling motor. Here's another article about features to look for that also contains opinions on which brands are the best.

Anybody fished Forbes Lake (Kirkland)?

Has anybody fished the lake located in the undeveloped Kirkland park called Forbes Lake Park ? According to this article , the city may extend the existing road to the lake, build a fishing floating dock and stock the pond with fish. The lake is described as being full of water lilies... maybe there...

RE:Crappie

I overheard a salesperson at Outdoor Emporium telling a customer that Lake Union has some good Crappie fishing, but I can't speak from personal experience.
