RE:Eating bass

For those of you that have been around a while, we all know this debate (eating bass vs releasing) has been debated in many times in different threads, and I think it's about beaten to death. I think we can all just agree to disagree on the subject. Some people like bass, some don't and some have ne...

RE:Ultimate fishing adventure

Still think I already took that Ultimate trip. Haa-nee-naa lodge...http://www.haa-nee-naa.com/ It's a floating lodge out in the middle of no where some 30-40 miles outside of Prince Rupert. Drive to Vancouver, fly to Prince Rupert via commercial jet (they only get a flight or two in per day) then y...

RE:Using the Fishing Report Rating System

I like the modifications to the rating system. A one star used to say, "you had a bad time and won't be back," something along those lines. I consider every fishing trip a "good time," regardless of catching anything or not. Catching fish is the icing on the cake, so to speak. I see that a one star ...

Ultimate fishing adventure

Ok folks, some very wealthy individual says he will completely finance the fishing trip of your dreams. All expenses (food, air fair, boat, etc) are included. Where do you go, and what do you fish for, and what type of luxeries are you going to include. I would head to Kona, on the big island of Haw...

RE:Great weekend!!!

Good job man. I went fishing for bows last week with my cousin and his three year old kid. I didn't realize how much of a handfull little kids can be while fishing. We were both taking turns chasing that little girl around. Needless to say, we weren't able to focus as much as we would have wished on...

RE:This Is Unreal - 78 Year Old Man Gets Busted For Doing Good Thing

I got pulled over last week for a crack in my windshield (which I do not intend to fix). I couldn't find a current copy of my insurance (which could have resulted in a 500 dollar fine), but the cop was nice enough to take the time to call my insurance company and verify it for me. He also gave me so...

RE:Eating bass

I've eaten smallies and largemouth, and they taste the same... Aweseome (if prepared properly). Filet them out, and be carefull around the rib cage, that area can be tricky, but take your time or you'll get some bones. Once fileted, pound with flour and fry with oil in a pan, or beer batter and deep...

RE:Cleaning Up After Someone - Bring A Trash Bag

(I'm quoting from a previous post I put up about littering) It really is too bad how disrespectfull people are towards the environment. Nothing irritates me more than going to a nice fishing hole and seeing it ridden of garbage. Not only is it unpleasent to look at but it also poses a serious health...

RE:Suggestions for a place to stay in Lk. Chelan

I am doing some vacation planning for the family for this summer... I realize that I should have booked something way sooner, but it can't hurt to look. I think I want to go to the lake Chelan area. Can anyone recommend a place to stay? We are four peeps. I would be looking for something along the ...

As has been pointed out, they live in high altitutde lakes. The official Washington State record on these beauties is 3.91 pounds (I'd love to see that fish). I investigated the stocking of Golden's in Washington last year, and came up with several lakes in the Northern Puget sound area (see wdfw's ...

Yep, I reported that a while back. I've seen that picture pop up and the report describes it as either a large trout or a large carp.
